"Lather and Nothing Else" Tells us to Take Opportunities

"Lather and Nothing Else" by Hernando Téllez is a story about revenge. The story starts off with a person going to an enemy barber shop. The barber has the chance to kill him, but he does not.

I think the barber should have killed him because the man killed his friends so he should have done it. I felt justice was justified when I took my friend's sandwich after they took my food.

Some of the hard decisions I make are to either focus in class or to talk to my friends. If I talk to my friends more I have more fun, but do not get as much work done though. If I lock in I get work done, but I do not have much fun.

One decision that was hard to make was when I did a martial art. I had to quit it and it was hard for me. I did the martial art for a while and I did not want to stop it for good. I had to quit it because I had to commit to the swim team. My team was high-commitment and I could not do both of them.

In conclusion, there is a theme to follow. It is to take chances as you can do them because it may be your only opportunity ever. This is from the story when the barber could have killed the person he was shaving.
