Why We Like Suspense
The Psychology of Suspense by R.J. Jacobs is about the four ways suspense works on you. One of the reasons is suspense engages the mind.
I agree with the reason that suspense engages the mind. I agree with this because I think it makes the watcher pay more attention to engage them more in the movie.
One movie that has suspense and that I watched is called Five Nights at Freddy’s. I reacted to a scene differently because I used the clues from the movie to figure out what happened when there was a different scene going on and because of this I acted surprised.
Horror movies have fear and suspense and they are not the same. This is because fear is when you are scared, but suspense gets you more engaged.
In the end, I think suspense is a good touch in movies.
